All of sudden I was struck by the study in extremes. I looked around and the walls were a soft color. Calming, really. There were pictures of her son at various ages and vestiges of her diverse interests. There is a picture on the wall above her computer and it starts “Today is the day…”
There were stacks of paperwork, neatly organized, t-shirts, logos, and all kind of works in progress. Music was playing in the background, and I could have sat in the calm and enjoyed the view from her window for a while.
But I couldn’t, because although the environment was one of calm, Robin was swirling like a tornado! I’m not sure I have ever witnessed a mind moving so quickly. I had my laptop open so I could makes notes of our conversation and when I went back and read them, I laughed out loud, because it was exhibit A that her mind goes a mile a minute and if you aren’t on your toes, you might miss something really good.
But again, Robin is an anomaly~Her office, very obviously decorated to inspire calm. Her relaxed demeanor, at one point even leaning back and putting her feet up on her desk~Both in contrast with the warp speed attack of ideas she was sending my way.
When she paused, she asked, “How fast can you type?” I said, “Fast. Keep going.” She laughed her contagious laugh and went 0 to 95 in 2.2 seconds.
And thankfully I wasn’t exaggerating my typing skills because my fingers were flying. And I was inspired.
It’s easy to see from where the inspiration and creativity come at Wearable Imaging. Robin is a powerhouse. With a powerhouse staff.
Robin’s energy is certainly the driving force at Wearable Imaging, but the rest of the staff, while diverse, all possess the same dynamic energy. Don’t believe me? Call them. See if you can keep up with their brilliance.
